Director of Allocation
Director of Allocations POSITIONThis position will have multiple direct reports and will actively work and interact with the merchandising team of buyers. Position calls for an aggressive hands on manager that understands apparel and knows how to drive sales through timely and accurate allocation of product REQUIREMENTSIdeal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of allocation experience at the manager or director level along with an additional 3 years of retail experience. High level, large volume P & A experience with an off-price apparel big box or major discount chain is required.Must have expert knowledge of major systems as JDA, Arthur, MMS or Island Pacific for example as well as proficiency with Excel spreadsheets. Must be highly analytical and have solid communication skills both written and verbal, as interaction with all levels of management is a regular occurrence. A 4-year degree is required but the company will consider additional experience in lieu of a degree. Some travel is expected. This is a Hands on position that is integral to sales and profit success.
