Get the whole story As our Department Manager, you'll effectively lead and manage a specific zone within the store to achieve sales, profit, growth, customer service and expense-management goals in accordance with Nike Brand at Retail. You'll monitor and optimize key initiatives related to sales, revenue, wages, SG&A, shrink and margin. You'll be responsible for proactively recruiting and hiring top talent. You'll also participate in the new-hire training and lead the ongoing training during huddles and as part of a daily coaching strategy. You'll establish performance goals and be responsible for the overall leadership and development of your staff in meeting performance expectations and in their career development. You'll also support an in-store culture that brings the Nike Brand to life by developing service strategies and consistently motivating and inspiring the team. In addition, you'll ensure the execution of merchandise presentation and product flow plans to maximize sales, while maintaining effective partnerships with key store and retail partners to support store goals and consumer needs. Requirements for the position include: - 2+ years' general retail experience - Bachelor's degree, or 2 years' additional retail/service experience in lieu of a degree - Minimum 1 year of supervisory/lead experience - Extensive experience leading the delivery of a high level of customer service in a brand retailer - Ability to recruit, lead and manage teams - Experienced in coaching and counseling employees - Ability to communicate in English - Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products - Ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays, as needed - Nike retail/service experience is preferred To ensure that we continue to hire competent, ethical and trustworthy individuals, all candidates must successfully complete a thorough background investigation prior to receiving any final offer of employment from Nike.
