DW/BI Architect

Bed, Bath & Beyond Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Data Warehouse Business Intelligence Architect for their company wide initiatives of a state of the art Microstrategy Teradata Data Warehouse The Business Intelligence (BI) Architect is responsible for the overall design and architecture of the company's business intelligence solutions, including data architecture and modeling and delivery of Microstrategy reporting / analytics. The candidate will work with a team responsible for the development and/or implementation of enterprise wide Data warehouse solutions for analytics and reporting of various business areas. During the project lifecycle the individual will be responsible for partnering with cross-functional teams of users, developers and QA analysts to ensure successful delivery of key projects. The candidate must be able to work through the various phases of the projects and take it to successful completion from beginning to end.Requirements: ? Knowledge and experience in the development & deployment of data warehouse architecture for large data volumes and complex reporting solutions using one or more BI tools such as Microstrategy, Brio, Cognos or Business Objects a must? Must have strong data modeling experience to support reporting and analysis. Analysis and creation of logical data models (normalized and dimensional data models) using industry standard tools (Erwin) including robust data definitions. ? Project Management experience on business intelligence projects preferred. Includes project execution and scope management, defining deliverables, documentation, schedule and resource management for a quality solution ? Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills required? Must be business process centric and well organized? Must have the ability to facilitate Design Sessions including developing presentation material, structuring conversation and documenting outcomes? Strong experience with SQL required. Must be able to troubleshoot and provide support of the existing Data warehouse BI environment on Microstrategy.? Experience in providing technical leadership / mentoring to project team members desirable? Be a self motivated, team player that thrives in a collaborative, competitive environment? Experience in retail data warehouses using Microstrategy highly preferred
