DISTRIBUTION TECHNOLOGY MANAGER

POSITION DESCRIPTION:     Research technological devices and programs designed to improve warehouse efficiencies. Provide cost justification reports necessary to aide in the executive decision making process related to the approval or disapproval of these devices and programs.  Identify, research, develop and direct the implementation of strategic operational plans, procedures and process's that optimize the transfer and distribution of products to corporate and independent customers.   Analyze and interpret historical data necessary to monitor current performance and benchmark future improvement initiatives.  Provide ongoing assistance with the development and presentation of special executive reports designed to report on the status of distribution.   Provide timely project status reports to members of the corporate distribution team and D.C. managers where applicable.   Direct and provide operational support and follow up on all implemented projects.REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1.    EDUCATION/TRAININGREQUIRED: Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate experience.2.    EXPERIENCEREQUIRED: Five years experience in distribution management.ADDITIONAL SKILLS NEEDEDKnowledge of computer operations, proficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelEffective oral and written communication skills
