DIR. DESIGN NETWORL ANALYSIS
Job Summary The Director, Network Planning is responsible for long term logistics and distribution strategy within Toys “R” Us. Tasks and Responsibilities Work to optimize the core operations domestically, considering transportation, operations, store strategy growth and network configuration. Lead a cross-functional team, understand the aspects of network modeling and ensure logistics strategies are implemented effectively and adequately to maximize profitability while delivering best in class service to our stores May have international responsibility and oversight. Bachelor's Degree required in industrial engineering, operations analysis, logistics, supply chain or related field. Minimum 8+ years of experience as a analytical/project manager/engineering role in a planning or engineering/consulting role, preferably with large retailers. Strong distribution and logistics background, and proven skills in management of projects and cross-functional teams. Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to break a problem or opportunity down into sub-components; identify root causes and drivers; use creative thinking skills in developing alternative solutions. Very good communication skills (written and verbal), data/process analysis, and alternative solutions. Ability to lead others to a consensus and influence change. Capable of collecting, assimilating and validating relevant business/operating information. Comfortable working in a team environment, displaying a customer-focused approach, and seeking continuous improvement in serving internal and external customers. Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite programs. Additional Information: Travel Percentage: 20%
