Customer Service, Sales & Office Manager

 We are a leading audio speaker manufacturer based in Sherman Oaks, CA.  We are known throughout the industry for being innovative and exciting in both our products and philosophy.  Our speakers are sold all over the world via our website, and we build, sell and service our speakers from this location.  We are currently seeking an intelligent, motivated individual to work in all aspects of our business and to ultimately manage this office and to assist with sales and customer service.  We know from experience that you do not need prior audio or technical experience.  Instead, you need an education, intelligence, basic computer skills and some office or manufacturing experience. 

 

We want to hear from you if you've worked for a successful company,have experience working in groups to accomplish large tasks (paralegal, lawyer, etc.), started your own company or have done anything else to have the right perspective and experience with what it takes for a small team of employees to accomplish large, long term goals.  You won't be working 80 hour weeks here, but we want you to know what that was like.  If you have demonstrated success in crunch time, and in large projects of any kind, you could be a great candidate for this job.

 

With the right person, this position could grow into a top management position in our company.  The following tasks are performed in our Sherman Oaks location:

 

1.  We make our award-winning speakers

2.  We answer sales phone calls and emails from customers who see our ads, read reviews or see our website

3.  We assist customers with support and service as needed

4.  We ship our speakers via UPS, FedEx & US Postal Service

5.  We figure out cool ways to market our speakers

 

This position will require working with all aspects of our business, as we are looking for someone who can ultimately be the top level manager of this location.  You can't manage without knowing what you are doing, so to start you will do it all.

 

 Responsibilities can include:

 

1.  Supervising the production and sales staff in the office

2.  Sales and support via phone and email, some in person drop ins

3.  Assisting and oversight of shipping

4.  General management of the office

5.  Oversight of inventory needed for production of speakers

6.  Participation in local, national and global marketing

 

This is a full time position and may require the occasional late night or weekend as our business is growing and vibrant and you will be in charge of a portion of it.  We are all very cool, down to earth people and this is a great, unstructured work environment where there really is no limit to how high you can rise.  We do not hire very often and this job has a high ceiling for growth in both salary and responsibility.  The business is getting too big for the founders to run on their own, and we need an extra brain and set of hands to help take our company to an even higher level.

 

We are very open minded when it comes to qualifications, as experience has shown us that all types can excel here, such as those with paralegal experience, other office experience, manufacturing experience, customer service or sales experience.  Familiarity with audio products or technology is a plus, but not required.  We will train you very well.

 

We do require:

 

4 Year College Degree

Minimum 3-5 years office experience or production management experience

Proven achievement in a challenging work environment

Phone skills and manners

Microsoft Office

Will train on UPS and other specialized software
