Customer Service Representative

Job Responsibilities:
· Answers telephone calls and assists customers, ie, regarding compliments, complaints, questions, etc.
· Creates and sends customer letters, i.e. apology letters, thank you letters, etc.
· Mails Duane Reade Club card to customers.
· Redirects compliment letters to employees in various store locations.
· Distributes gift certificates to customers.
· Verifies prices of medications for customers.
· Assist customers in receiving duplicate receipts for credit card purchases from the accounting department.
· Resolves any Duane Reade gift card problems with customers.
· Communicates with customers and stores to answer questions and resolve problems.
· Communicates with vendors and suppliers to order merchandise and resolve problems.
· Creates reports, i.e. customer service reports.
· Substitutes for other staff members when necessary.
Job Requirements:
· Data entry, i.e. Microsoft Office applications, Excel and JDA database, etc.
· Must be friendly, personable and patient, with good English speaking skills.
· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Prioritizing and organizational skills a must.
· Bi-lingual English/Spanish speaking is a plus.
