CUSTOMER DATABASE MARKETING ANALYST Position is located at our Grand Rapids, MI Headquarters. Candidates outside the Grand Rapids area, will be required to relocate.The individual selected for this position will be responsible for supporting database marketing through analytics and will work closely with the CDM team in developing marketing campaigns. This position is in charge of all pre and post campaign analytics including targeting, list development, segmentation, and ROI analysis. In addition to campaign analytics, this position is also part of a team responsible for all other analyses relating to customer data. The CDM Analyst is considered the functional expert for customer data at Meijer and will work with Marketing, Merchandising, ITS, Operations, Finance, and eCommerce as needed to integrate all business areas toward successful customer-focused strategies and tactics. Responsibilities include: Use statistical software to mine and analyze marketing data to support database marketing initiatives Refine promotional targeting opportunities through data analysis Recommend and implement data process improvement Create and enhance reporting methods and practices Analyze and report promotional results Work with business and IT resources regarding database issues and technical questions Identify and solve data quality and privacy issues Create and maintain customer models The ideal candidate will possess the following: BS/BA or above in statistics, econometrics, applied mathematics or other quantitative field 2 years professional experience in a data analysis role is preferred Professional programming experience using SAS, SPSS, or similar analytic software Experience in regression, multivariate and predictive modeling (OLS, ANOVA, Logistic) Familiarity with data mining concepts and tools Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases is preferred Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with experience working with large datasets Excellent oral and written communication skills to be used in communicating recommendations and analysis to business users If you have the experience described, log on to our website at www.joinmeijer.com and apply online.
