Construction Manager

 

Francesca’s Collections is a Houston based retail chain with over 100 stores in 26 states. We are looking for someone to manage our new store construction process. This process involves managing contractors hired directly by Francesca’s or working closely with the Landlord’s contractors to ensure timely and on budget work completion. The Construction Manager is a corporate office position that requires weekly travel and will report to the Sr. Director of Real Estate.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

· Review and approve changes to scope of work

· Perform initial site inspections for budgeting and scope purposes

· Develop a construction schedule for each new store build

· Develop preliminary and final budgets for each new store build

· Select and supervise local GC’s to perform work or communicate with Landlord to ensure a timely and complete delivery of their work

· Complete final site inspections

· Communicate and work closely with New Store Project Manager to create and modify new store opening schedule

 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:Minimum of 3+ Years experience in constructionPast Retail Construction Management preferred Ability to read shopping center site plans and construction drawingsProven leadership ability with high professional and ethical standards Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Superior organizational and communication skills are a must Ability to travel on a weekly basis a mustProficient PC skills, particularly MS Excel. MS Project and/or Internet based scheduling a plus.
