Concept Artist

Stampin' Up! is looking for a full time employee who will Stamp and assemble stamped samples to market company product line. Teach stamping techniques at annual convention to facilitate interest in company products and train demonstrators.Essential Job Functions:Create art samples that showcase creative ways to use our product for Stampin' Up! publications. Discover new and useful ways to use stamps so Stampin' Up! can offer their customers a variety of stamping techniques. Create stamped art samples for other magazines and publications to increase awareness of Stampin' Up! and company products. Create samples for Stampin’ Up!-sponsored events that assist demonstrator training in teaching various techniques. Participate in preparing displays for conventions and other exhibits. Work closely with illustrators to create new stamp sets, proposing new directions to take regarding stamp style, set contents, uses, trends, and sayings.Actively participate and assist in the design of new products, including coming up with ideas for new products.Discover new products and accessories to add to the accessories line, in cooperation with sourced accessories.Rate new products and stamp sets to assist purchasing in determining quantities to order.Create samples with subject matter only, relying on one’s design skills to select and use stamp sets, colors, layout, and accessories. Participate in committees that help facilitate various creative and business directions of Stampin' Up! Contribute to the content of our monthly magazines with ideas and techniques that assist demonstrators in their work, including ways to use products economically and creatively for demonstrations and Make & Takes. Participate in public relations placements and pitches to various outside publications.

 

Requirements:Minimum of two years experience using decorative rubber stamps. Thorough knowledge of stamping techniques and company products. Demonstrated artistic ability and creative thinking to develop and discover new ways to use stamps and accessories. Ability to contribute to Stampin’ Up! as a whole creatively —to see ways to solve problems and improve the company both within and beyond creative services. Thorough knowledge of the paper crafting industry’s needs, directions, and opportunities. Ability to recognize trends and think one step ahead of the trends in both design, color, and product development. Understanding of color (ability to distinguish color through sight). Excellent design skills. Ability to work in a team environment and handle stress under deadline. Detail oriented
