We are an equal opportunity employer committed to providing a diverse and inclusive workplace.   Key Accountabilities:This position will have responsibility for generating a seasonal merchandise plan and assortment strategy to maximize opportunities and grow the business in conjunction with the overall macys.com business plan, while developing strategic long range vendor and class plans. In addition, the position will have responsibility for managing the financial components of the business effectively to react to trend and seize opportunity throughout the season. The buyer will perform competitive analysis, monitor the sales plan and report on performance, manage receipt flow, create markdown requests and ensure FTC compliance, while partnering closely with other Macy's Inc.  divisions to achieve goals and improve the customer experience.   Skills Summary:  This position requires 4 years of buying office experience, preferably in an internet environment, proficiency in Excel and Word, a Bachelor's degree (or comparable work experience), and strong business analytical skills. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, organizational and problem solving skills, and the aptitude to function within deadlines, while working both independently and as part of a team.
