Buyer - Purchasing Professional
Automotive Technologies, Inc. (ATI) is the parent company of the Wireless Zone franchise chain, retail stores solely dedicated to wireless communications products and services. There are more than 290 Wireless Zone locations throughout the Northeast, MidAtlantic, MidWest and Florida.
We have an open for an experienced Purchasing Professional to join our team. This position will be primarily responsible to assist the General Merchandising Manager with product, pricing and purchasing of phones, accessories and other related items. The position is located at our Connecticut corporate headquarters.
Responsibilities include:
1. Purchasing – On a daily basis review inventory levels and negotiate contracts with suppliers specifying quality, quantity and delivery schedules
2. Source new products and alternative suppliers
3. Managing – Work with General Merchandising Manager and Finance in negotiations with vendors to secure advantageous terms and pricing for the company. Inventory – Assist in assuring that all items are priced correctly, have proper SKU numbers and are properly entered into the inventory control system.
4. May work with exisitng suppliers to develop new products, and relaunch existing lines
5. Monitor market changes, competitor prices and products, and past sales patterns to forecast future demand
6. Monitor the performance of product lines and suppliers, and, if necessary, terminate contracts.
Must be willing to travel occasionally to stores, franchise area meetings, vendor offices and shows. ATI offers a
