This includes working directly with the FLS, Kmart and internet buying teams, and on-line liquidation channels. The Market Opportunity Buyer will lead the business end of Sears Hardware Store development, roll-out, and ongoing execution of its business initiatives, to include but not limited to "bargainhunter.com," on-line auction, on-line marketing, search engine optimization, web-to-store, store-to-web, and other initiatives in support of Hardware's sales. The Market Opportunity Buyer anticipates and proactively resolves hurdles that can impede the advancement of new assortment integration efforts.Qualifications· Use eAuction tool to generate incremental sales and margin for limited time offers· Identify overstock items with FLS, Kmart, Internet buying team and vendors· Identify SHC overstock items in the supply chain with inventory teams · Work with field team to identify areas of weakness in current assortments· Set up vendors and items through Sears systems· Serves as the primary member of the Sears Hardware team responsible for special item initiatives.· Establishes administrative guidelines · Takes ownership of and manages all business processes in support of new assortment strategy. · Articulates business requirements, leads development of initiatives from business perspective, and manages projects to ensure timelines are achieved.· Accelerates on-line initiatives and develops new internet sales channels such as bargainhunter.com, Craigslist, and eBay.· Develops and executes internet marketing strategies to drive traffic to Hardware's offerings.· Makes major contributions to the Hardware strategy, continuously scanning for internet selling opportunities that are consistent with Hardware store goals.· Works directly with Region Coaches, District Sales Coaches, and Store Coaches to define and implement operational business processes to ensure the appropriate customer experience. · Understand and communicate ideas or activities that would lead to EBITDA improvements.· Miscellaneous duties as required.Sears is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
