Business Analyst

Overview: The business analyst works as a liaison between business and IT. Their position allows them to obtain, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for projects and change requests. The business analyst will be instrumental in the planning, development and testing phases of their assigned projects

Responsibilities:
• Develops and produces the main requirement documents for projects
• Develops QA test documents for projects
• Develops change management documentation
• Participates in change management user training
• Coordinates/manages small to medium sized projects
• Participates in the development of the BA practices and templates
• Maintains appropriate project documentation as required, providing status updates to management and all stakeholders
• Adheres to the established business analyst processes; understanding and following the steps created for project and IT governance
• Participate in a BA related steering committee that helps drive updates and changes to the enterprise-wide processes
• Interact with vendors, clients, prospects and executive staff
• Reports to Manager of the PMO

General Skills:

• 3 - 4 years of Business Analysis within IT field
• Solid grasp of the traditional BA role
• Experience in planning and managing small to medium projects across multi functional teams/organizations a plus
• Strong understanding of requirements gathering technique
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong individual time management ability
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with members of various teams, from very technical to business and executive levels

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required in relevant field
