Boutique Director - Chicago

PRIMARY SUMMARY: 

The Boutique Director will direct, coordinate and monitor all boutique activities consistent with CHANEL goals, standards, policies and procedures.

 

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

¨  Lead Courageously by providing leadership & credibility with all associates, establishing boutique management as the first point of contact for all associates.

¨  Share company vision with associates as communicated from Senior Management

¨  Ensure a positive, professional and cooperative team environment that promotes trust, integrity and superior performance standards, leading by example

¨  Provide effective coaching & cross training for the purpose of developing a professional and strong staff

¨  Investigate and resolve employee conflicts & issues in a timely manner

¨  Consistently monitor achievement of boutique performance goals and continually make necessary course corrections

¨  Provide clear direction and priorities, clarify roles & responsibilities

¨  Build strong working relationships across all corporate departments and Boutiques through clear and concise communication

¨  Provide timely and constructive suggestions and feedback to Senior Management

¨  Assume responsibility for self development, modifying behavior to reflect Chanel Competencies and standards

¨  Maintain a floor presence to ensure adequate sales coverage and a luxury shopping experience that upholds Chanel standards

¨  Complete staff Performance Reviews annually

¨  Partner with management team to train new hires

¨  Ensure a welcoming environment and provide superior client service to all clients

¨  Manage and further develop client base with associates to ensure best business results

¨  Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures; includes but not limited to human resources, loss prevention, operations & safety

¨  Ensure effective scheduling of associates to support business needs & maximize productivity

¨  Insure the highest standards of client service

 

The Chanel Experience:

¨  Partner with VP, Client and Business Development and team to maintain the effectiveness of the Chanel Experience.

¨  Partner with team to facilitate the roll-out of all new client initiatives

 

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

¨  Management skills; both process and people management

¨  Knowledge of the retail business relating to client development, boutique operations and sales

¨  Strong analytical skills

¨  Strong presentation, public speaking and communication skills

¨  Proficient computer skills

¨  5 years boutique management experience

¨  Ability to work evening and weekend hours
