BRU-BUYERS ASSISTANT-(PK)

The Buyer's Assistant will assist the Buyer in implementing, administering and executing customer focused, profit minded Juvenile strategies to maximize performance within the Bedding & Room Decor category. This position will also communicate and manage vendor relationships and act as a key contact with field organization for assigned department. The Buyer's Assistant will coordinate all necessary information for the advertising and graphic dept as it relates to assigned category and liaison with Merchandising Planning and Allocation and Store Planning Departments for assigned category. It will handle all aspects of line review and all item set up and maintenance in the BRU Merchandise Retail system. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: The individual who fills this position will possess a College Degree (preferred). 1-2 years previous retail buying/planning or allocations experience. Apparel industry experience is a plus. Effective verbal and written communication skills and solid interpersonal skills are a must. He/She must possess excellent organization skills, and the ability to multi task in a busy environment
