We encourage our employees to succeed professionally and maximize their potential by becoming part of our dynamic team.The Information Technology Department has an opening for a B2B Implementation Engineer position for our Phoenix or Walnut Creek locations. Qualifications: The following are preferred or desired unless specifically stated:• 3-5 years experience working on large IBM mainframe systems using JCL, ISPF and IBM utilities. • Must possess very strong scripting and programming skills including REXX, Windows, and Unix. • Candidate must have superior verbal and written communication, documentation, and teamwork skills. • Experience with Connect Enterprise, Axway, Cyclone, PGP preferred, PKZip, and Gentran a plus. • Experience with B2B protocols including FTP, Applicability Statement, HTTP, AS2 and SOAP preferred. • ITIL Foundations Certification desired• Experience with security protocols preferred. • Previous exposure to IT Operation environments a plus• Experience with Data Translation mapping preferred. • Must demonstrate proven ability to analyze problems, propose solutions, and drive issues to resolution.• Candidate must be results oriented, willing to take responsibility and accept accountability and work independently focusing on customer needs.• Candidate must work well in a fast-paced, changing environment and be able to manage multiple tasks, projects and initiatives all with different priorities at the same time.• Candidate must possess a genuine desire to provide superior customer service to our business, vendors, and I/T customers with a positive and supportive attitude.• Candidate must possess a high degree of initiative and sense of urgency.• Candidate should be self-confidant: commands authority and respect at all levels Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Install/Configure/Administer/Architect B2B, translation, encryption and compression software. • Coordinate/configure/test vendor connections with business, applications, vendors, security, and legal departments. • Assist new vendors with determination of technology problems. • Evaluate and recommend new data movement software for use at Safeway• Provide last level problem resolution services for issues requiring a re-engineering of a managed product or platform• The implementation engineer will be responsible for producing utilization reports for management.• The implementation engineer will be responsible for implementing service level agreements with the business, vendors, engineering support and operations personnel. • The implementation engineer will work with application developers to optimize the use of data movement within Safeway. They will create infrastructure technology plans to support the ongoing improvement, optimization, and rationalization of data movement technologies that include high availability and DR scenarios.
