Associate Graphic Designer - Web

Stampin' Up! is looking for an employee who will work with web development team to design and maintain company web site. Assist design team with other print projects that may include concept design, layout, photo, and illustration.Essential Job Functions:Create innovative designs for web and print and determine layouts including photo selection, placement, theme, type selection, size, color, and overall look and feel.Organize and manage regular maintenance of all photographs, graphics, and PDF documents for company web site.Participate in creative strategy meetings with Art Director, Graphic Designers, Concept Artists, Marketing, Publications, and others in determining project specifications and developing concepts, presentation, and production and execution timelines for illustrated documents. Create mock-ups and drafts, scan photography, and convert artwork into digital/electronic images. Design catalogs, brochures, marketing collateral, packaging, logos, communication pieces, mailers, and other electronic and printed materials. Archive artwork electronically for future retrieval from electronic graphic library. Proof materials prior to production. Use technology and other alternatives to improve quality and cost efficiency of creative projects.

 Requirements:BA/BS in graphic design, illustration, or fine arts. Two years of professional experience in graphic design. Expertise with Macintosh graphic programs such as Quark Xpress, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, and general knowledge of Microsoft Suite programs. Knowledge of web programming (Flash, HTML, etc.) preferred but not required.Proficiency in page layout, printing, and design principles. Experience creating online graphics and converting artwork into electronic files. Attention to detail with the ability prioritize, multi-task, and work within specific timeframes. Good communication skills with a willingness to share ideas and contribute to a collaborative effort. High degree of initiative with ability to work independently and in a team environment.
