Assistant Store Manager & Third Key Opportunities

Overall Objectives - Assistant Store Manager:

· The Assistant Store Manager supervises the total operations of store and has a shared responsibility for the total performance of the store.  This is quantitatively measured through sales volume performance; payroll management; loss prevention and administrative control management.

· In addition, the Assistant Store Manager must focus on the areas of operations management, leadership, staff training and development, and organization to achieve the requirements of this position.

Primary responsibilities for the Assistant Store Manager include the following:

· Shared responsibility in the supervision of the management, selling and support teams to provide the highest level of customer service

· Assist with staff training and development

· Execute visual merchandising directives

· Recruit and interview staff with Store Manager

· Assist with administrative control and reporting

The successful Assistant Store Manager candidate will posess:High school diploma or equivalent, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred 1-3 years of retail management experience - shoe industry experience preferred Demonstrated ability to increase sales volume, execute top-level presentation and housekeeping standards within store, protect the assets of the company, and develop and lead a customer-focused team. Ability to multi-task with daily/weekly responsibilities and projects. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers and customers. Ability to resolve questions and problems with his/her supervisor, but also manage own work flow and meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills and exchange information with others clearly and concisely. Ability to present ideas, facts and technical information and respond to questions from sales associates and customers. Excellent organization and time management skills. Working knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

 

Overall Objectives - Third Keyholder:The Third Key supervises the total sales management of the store and has a shared responsibility for the total performance of the store.  This is quantitatively measured through sales volume performance and administrative control management. In addition, the Third Key must focus on the areas of sales management, leadership, staff development, and organization to achieve the requirements of this position.

Primary responsibilities for the Third Keyholder include the following:Drive sales volume and increase in-store productivity to achieve or exceed established store goals.Ensure all store associates provide a high-level of customer service at all times.  Redirect store associates as necessary and exercise good judgment in resolving customer service issues.Ensure that all store associates are aware of budgeted store sales goals, as well as individual sales goals.Execute the store opening and closing strategy and assist with management reporting and administrative duties as necessary.
