JOB SUMMARY: 

 

Directs and supervises the presentation, replenishment, and signing of merchandise.  Ensures all company merchandising programs and standards are adhered to by Associates. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

· Executes all company guest service programs.

· Directs Team Leaders and Associates to execute the Company’s merchandise presentation programs and standards in hardlines department through use of Merchandising Guide Books, Signing manuals, Weekly Updates, Corporate correspondence and merchandise videos.

· Directs Team Leaders and Associates to ensure effective stock replenishment, and organization and flow of merchandise from the stockroom.

· Executes department layouts and layout changes and placement of ad merchandise as directed by the company.

· Communicates to Store and District Manager, competitive activities/trends in market, and unique local market issues as well as stock level issues.

· Assists in the development of store Associates including recruitment, training, development and continuous learning.

· Evaluates and assesses Associate performance and development and works closely with Store Manager on correcting performance deficiencies and to recognize performance. 

· Schedules work of Associates.

· Coaches Team Leaders and Associates to meet or exceed Company’s Minimum Operating Standards including the recovery program and shortage goal.

· Any other essential function that may occur from time to time as directed by the Supervisor and Manager.



QUALIFICATIONS:

 

· High School Diploma required, College Degree preferred

· Minimum 5 years of retail management experience

· Excellent organization and analytical skills

· Outstanding communication skills
