Assistant General Manager for Shopping Center

A leading real estate management/development company  seeks a highly organized self-starter for their Center City, Philadelphia location. The responsibilities include the following: 

 Assists in day-to-day administration and direction of physical operation of assigned shopping center to ensure a clean, attractive, secure shopping environmentAssists in the supervision of security, maintenance, housekeeping, administrative and all other on-site staffMaintains effective relations with shopping center tenants concerning all lease and related mattersProvides any necessary assistance to merchants, under direction of Regional/General ManagerAssists in preparation of annual operating and capital budgets for shopping centerAssists in preparing annual leasing plan for shopping centerIn tandem with Regional/General manager, supervises all on-site employees in coordination with appropriate supervisorAs directed by Regional/General Manager, supervises any/all contractors on site.Reviews monthly accounts receivable list to effect timely pursuit of delinquent chargesIs in place to train and learn all aspects of managing a regional shopping center, with the overall goal of seeking a promotion to a General Manager’s role at another center within the portfolioResponsible for all functions as determined by Regional/General Manager.

Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Management preferredExperience in retail management or property management preferredCombination of equivalent education and experience necessary to effectively perform the responsibilities of the positionAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of management, staff, business representatives and the general publicEffective interpersonal skills
