The Assistant District Manager acts as a role model for and ensures that all associates understand their respective roles in providing a Fast, In-Stock and Helpful customer experience. The Assistant District Manager drives overall financial performance of the district to include planning and executing merchandise sales, credit and other miscellaneous revenues, expense management, and achievement of profitability goals. The Assistant District Manager will participate in the coaching and development of Store Manager. Districts will include approximately 6 - 9 stores. District sales volume will vary; the range is approximately $100M - $350M+.QualificationsThe Assistant District Manager supports the District Manager in driving national visual and merchandise presentation standards, supports the District Manager in monthly execution to include strategic initiatives, seasonal flexes, line updates and business resets. Validates that all merchant driven tasks are executed to standard and on time and provides feedback to District Manager on assortment opportunities and ensures that integrity of assortments within the stores are maintained. The Assistant District Managerh regularly conducts store visits and partners with Store Managers to create action plans on identified process and execution opportunities. The Assistant District Manager monitors operational disciplines and expense management at the store level to ensure that district controllable expenses and inventory shrink is managed to plan. The Assistant District Manager supports the district in achieving their customer satisfaction goals through full utilization of Company selling processes and through analysis of customer service results to enhance selling and instock processes. The Assistant District Manager is responsible for the district's hourly recruitment strategy and execution. The Assistant District Manager identifies training opportunities within the district and develops management and lead team on merchandise, visual, and operational processes. They support Store Managers in performance and talent management of Assistant Store Managers and Leads and partners with District Manager to drive talent management and performance management processes. The Assistant District Manager requires multi-line store management experience (i.e. Apparel, Marketing, Hardlines, and Operations) and multi-unit experience in Retail with experiences and strong understanding of retail-related selling and/or retail operating environments.Sears is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
