Assistant District Manager

Assistant District Managers should posses’ strong leadership skills and the ability to manage, motivate and train in a multi-unit area.  Area and District Managers should dedicate the majority of their time enhancing store presentation, training and development of subordinates.  Needed skills for becoming a multi-unit supervisor are as follows:

  I.  Achieving Sales Goals

a. Achieving sales through presentation

I.  Ensuring proper and accurate execution of company marketing events.

II.  Monitoring of merchandise to the sales floor within the allotted time frame as directed by the company.

  III.  Monitoring of reactive merchandising and proper recover after a peak in sales.

b. Team Service

I.  Trains, executes and maintains team service philosophy during each store visit.

II.  Monitoring of the level of team service at each store during visits.

c. Monitoring sales goals

I.  Monitoring of daily sales through communication with stores.

II.  React to negative and positive sales trends through payroll management.

  II.  Human Resources

a. People/Staff

I.  Maintain a staff of 3 well trained managers.

II.  Monitor all hires at store level as well as proper staffing in each store and during peak.

  III.  Proactive approach to recruiting, hiring and retention of the right individuals.

IV.  Make hiring decisions through communication with RM and HR Department.

b. Training and Development

I.  Monitor management training and development.

II.  Monitor the implementation of training program at store level.

  III.  Provide motivation and support to subordinates.

IV.  Proactive use of performance reviews for future development.

V.  Use progressive discipline as a tool to correct store/people problem areas.

  III.  Operations

a. Execution of company direction

I.  Plan and perform “No Compromise Store Visit” with a minimum of 6 hrs.

II.  Ensures each store is aware and understands direction.

  III.  Teach and train “Boss-imposed/Self-imposed” philosophy.

IV.  Monitor schedule and payroll management.

V.  Adhere to all Loss Prevention policies & procedures.
