Art Production Coordinator

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

 

Responsible for Production Coordination of the Company's catalogs, packaging, retail communication, web/new product offers and other promotional materials using computer and software available.



Prepare layouts and new product depictions, packaging using desktop publishing system: Quark Express software, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Indesign, Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Distiller. Responsibilities include:  production and collection of all photos and graphics, and layout prep of all promotional/communication pieces.  Final production of pages prep for printer.

 

Routes proofs of new product depictions, catalog pages, packaging, ads etc. as needed,

 

Makes alterations requested by marketing and merchandising teams as needed.

 

Coordinate production schedule with color separators and print vendors as needed.

 

Perform typing and proofreading duties.

 

Scans and cleans up/retouches art for production.

 

Assists with loading images/copy to web presentations

 

May perform other duties as assigned.

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIRED

 

• Post high school training in communication art/design with an emphasis in production.

 

•Minimum of 2 years experience using desktop publishing programs; Quark Express, Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Acrobat, Distiller, Suitcase, Microsoft Office Software.  Typing 60 WPM.

 

•Excellent communication skills required.

 

•Organizational skills and ability to be accurate and pay attention to detail are needed in order to produce a quality product.
