Appliance Buyer

Bernie’s, New England’s Largest Independent Retailer of TV’s and Appliances with 15 Stores in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island has an immediate need for an Appliance Buyer to work in Enfield, CT.

Bernie’s was recently ranked nationally as the 28th Largest appliance retailer. Bernie’s has also started an expansion of its Appliance business to include Luxury Appliances including Sub Zero, Wolf, Viking and Thermador.

This position is responsible for buying and merchandising of all Appliance categories. As the Buyer you will be responsible for planning the assortment, advertising plan, commission structure, inventory planning and replenishment to our stores. You will be the face of our company to the vendor community; you will negotiate with the vendors to insure that Bernie’s has the right pricing and right program to grow sales. Ultimately we are looking for a Buyer who can grow sales and profit dollars for Bernie’s.



Requirements
The ideal candidate will have Prior Appliance and/or Industry experience. Retail experience is preferred.  Marginal travel is required.
