General Responsibility

The goal of all of our analyses is to provide shopper / consumer insights that lead to business actions and results.  Our analysts are client-facing and share in the development of strategy and delivery of their work to the client.  They provide support to internal and external clients in the design and execution of custom analysis projects.

 

Our explosive growth continues to generate openings at all levels across our organization.  Specific responsibilities vary by level and team.  Regardless of level, you will have hands-on involvement with data and analysis. 

 

Analysts work in three distinct teams:

 

Retail Analysis Teams work directly with our retail partners to better understand their business through the customer lens to drive better and faster decisions.  We use the right combination of behavioral, research and context data to build a customer language and sustainable insight platform to drive strategy, actions plans and measures for our clients.  Our insights are simultaneously driving better execution in many areas such as pricing, promotions, assortment, innovation, local marketing, formats, service and loyalty – all through a consistent view of the customer. 

 

Specific Responsibilities

·  Conduct custom research studies in their entirety, from project inception and design through preparation and the delivery of reports and presentations.

·  Provide input to and assist in the development of client proposals.

·  Mine consumer level databases and other data sources for insights and analyze data sets using our insight tools such as SAS.

·  Distill insights from the analysis to offer business recommendations by identifying meaningful consumer indicators and trends.

·  Ensure work is disciplined and adheres to quality control procedures.

·  Support the development and launch of new products and services.

·  Present analysis and recommendations to our clients.

·  Build relationships with key internal and external clients.

·  Identify opportunities for insight innovation or efficiency improvements

 

Experience and Skills

·  Minimum of a Bachelors degree.

·  A Masters degree is preferred, but not required.

·  Knowledge of analytical techniques.  Specifically working knowledge of concepts such as, clustering, segmentation and time-series (i.e. regression, forecasting).

·  Ability to query large data sets using database management software (SQL) and database mining software (SAS).

·  Skilled at navigating relational databases.

·  Comfortable working in LINUX operating environments.

·  Proficient with Microsoft Office (i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).
