We are looking for an Allocation Analyst for our Quincy, MA corporate officeOverview

Responsible for the timely review and allocation of merchandise to all J. Jill Retail Stores, resulting in ideal unit assortment by store. Perform analysis to support the planning process for future buys.

Responsibilities Initiate and perform analysis required for by-store allocations of merchandise on a timely basis.Plan and allocate new receipts based upon current trend. Create and monitor new store opening assortment plans. Communicate with Inventory Control on issues related to product status and delivery. Monitor “related items” / “coordinated groups”  and develop processes to ensure these items are allocated to stores as a group when appropriate. Analyze by-store performances and inventory levels by SKU, resulting in appropriate replenishment of units by store. Perform analysis(both directed and self directed) to support the planning process to identify opportunities for both expansion and contraction of product by climate and volume groups. Analyze and review departmental size selling after each monthly floor set Communicate/troubleshoot with Fulfillment Center on daily distribution issues as they arise. Communicate with stores as necessary regarding best/slow sellers, transfers, markdowns, assortment needs and customer requests. Identify and recommend system modifications as needed. Perform other duties as assigned QualificationsApproximately 2 years of retail experience Strong analytical skills College degree preferred Proven ability in the design and creation of spreadsheets via PC software applications.Experience with Arthur Planning a plusStrong communication and organizational skillsProven ability to work in a team-oriented environment Strong interpersonal skills.  Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with persons at all levels.
