The Lego Direct to Consumer department is a multi channel, global retail operation that sells LEGO products directly to consumers via catalogues, LEGO Stores and online at www.LEGOshop.com.

 

This is an excellent position for someone looking to develop their career in the International Affiliate Marketing field and take on a role that will have a significant impact on our company goals.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

Strategy and Planning 10% Work with the Online Marketing Manager to compile the overall Affiliate Marketing plans & sales forecasts for each program. Manage the Affiliate Marketing Budget and commission structures to optimize program profitability & customer acquisition. Devise Affiliate promotions, campaigns and offers.

 

Networking & Relationship Building 40% Develop strong personal relationships with top Affiliates in all markets. Represent the LEGO program by actively participating in Affiliate forums and presenting at Affiliate conferences Target new sites and encourage them to join the LEGO scheme. Liaise with the Management, Marketing, and Merchandising teams to ensure campaign alignment with other activities and business goals. Manager relationships with agencies and network account managers. Keep on top of Affiliate Marketing trends and best practice and educate the wider Direct to Consumer Marketing team about the industry. Work proactively with the new and low performing existing Affiliates to drive new sources of traffic, monitoring them in all facets of the program.

 

Daily Program Management 40% Actively manager LEGO programs across multiple countries including the US, UK, Germany & France. Coordinate the launch of new Affiliate Programs in new markets (including Canada, Germany & France in 2009) Coordinate the production of banner creation, including tailoring for top Affiliates. Recommend the optimum LEGO products for individual Affiliates to promote according to sales analysis and inventory availability. Compile Affiliate newsletters and other Affiliate communications. Monitor Affiliate sites to ensure that they abide by the terms and conditions and represent LEGO brand values. Manage Affiliate testing strategy including banner creative, promotional offers and media buys. Organise LEGO Affiliate events and competitions.

 

Analysis & Reporting 10% Produce monthly reporting and analysis for internal distribution. Analyze weekly results to feed ongoing campaign optimization tactics. Report on the success of programs in terms of commission models and affiliate-type. Ad-hoc analysis of tests and web analytics.

 

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills BA degree or equivalent work experience. Significant experience working as an Affiliate Manager at an agency or client side is essential Solid knowledge of Affiliate best practices and the Affiliate Marketing industry in the US & UK Foreign language skills are an advantage - preferably German or French. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and passionate self-starter who possesses strong attention to detail, outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, excellent analytical skills and the ability to "think globally" and understand local county requirements. Ability to work independently and also as part of a global team.
