Administrative Assistant II

Department / Location: Information Technology Project Services / Corporate Office Reports To: VP Infrastructure and SecurityThe Administrative Assistant is responsible for administrative support to the VP Infrastructures and Security, and the Director IT Project Services.The emphasis of this position is on providing high-level administrative support that may include managing calendars, scheduling meetings, preparing correspondence reports, receiving visitors and other administrative responsibilities as requested. Essential FunctionsAdministrative support for VP Infrastructure and Security, and Director IT Project Services Managing and maintaining calendars through Outlook Scheduling and coordinating meetings Planning and coordinating travel arrangements Completion of expense reports Preparing presentation and reports Telephone screening and vendor maintenance Procurement of department supplies, order when needed Maintain contract files Special projects as assigned Assist Senior Administrative Assistant as needed   Successful Candidate Requirements Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills Ability to work independently Ability to multi-task Ability to plan, organize and execute management meetings Ability to build and manage spreadsheets Ability to work with many people High sense of urgency Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Visio, and Outlook Working in a fast paced environment Education Associate's Degree or equivalent Bachelor's Degree preferred Experience 3+ years administrative support experience for senior level management Dick's Sporting Goods, Inc. is an authentic full-line sporting goods retailer offering a broad assortment of brand name sporting goods equipment, apparel, and footwear in a specialty store environment.
