Assigns work orders, ensuring that safety-related repairs and repairs affecting production are the highest priority. Assists maintenance associates with diagnosis and repairs, when necessary. 2. Assists maintenance manager in managing the preventive maintenance program ensuring unscheduled equipment repairs are minimized, establishing preventative maintenance schedule, and ensuring that the schedule is adhered to. 3. Assists with reviewing contractor candidates. Monitors contractors' adherence top quality standards and completion of work in a timely and cost effective manner. 4. Assists in hiring, training, evaluating and recommending pay increases for maintenance associates. When necessary, participates in disciplinary actions and recommends termination of employment when appropriate. 5. Manages the acquisition of additional parts and ensures that spare parts inventory is maintained so that repairs can be completed in a timely manner and production downtime is minimized. In addition, ensures that inventories are controlled to have the least investment. 6. Researches modifications and improvements to systems and make recommendations accordingly. 7. Oversees and ensures that building, grounds and equipment are cleaned. Oversees center's waste disposal program, ensuring that waste is disposed of according to the facility is maintained. 8. Interacts daily with all facility management associates to ensure maintenance needs are met and conducts tours daily to ensure that the condition of the facility is maintained.Qualifications1. High school diploma or equivalent required.2. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.3. Three (3) years of maintenance and supervisory experience.4. Knowledge of and skill in repairing HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems.5. Effective written and oral communication skills.6. Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and procedures including best safety practices.7. Analytical ability necessary to gather and interpret data, and develop, recommend and implement solutions.8. Knowledge of and skilled in reading blueprints.9.
