eSupplier Solutions Specialist

Position is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining electronic commerce partnerships with SYSCO’s supplier community. This position also interacts with SYSCO’s Operating Companies and Suppliers at a customer service level to provide assistance and support for their e-commerce issues. In addition, the eSupplier Solutions Specialist defines electronic data interchange (EDI) specifications and requirements offering an effective approach to reducing foodservice supply chain inefficiencies for SYSCO and SYSCO’s supplier electronic trading partners.

Position scope includes, but is not limited to:
* Supporting the training of all appropriate personnel by teaching and explaining the business practices associated with electronic data interchange.
* Providing support to Operating Companies, internal business centers, Information Services and Supplier’s by identifying problems, and responding promptly with resolutions.
* Implementing and managing electronic trading relationships with SYSCO suppliers.
* Producing and maintaining training presentations, procedures, implementation guides and checklists, trade show manuals, supplier guides, and website material to clearly convey information to internal and external audiences.
* Managing and maintaining Trading Partner activity in the database and multiple tracking spreadsheets.

Position Requirements:

 



College degree with at least 1 to 2 years of business experience in areas of technical knowledge or EDI experience strongly preferred.

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to articulate ideas and thoughts clearly through various means of communication within all areas of the organization and externally.

Excellent presentation skills required.

Functional job knowledge of PC and software (includes Microsoft Excel, Word 2000, PowerPoint, Visio and Access at an intermediate level or greater).

Must be able to plan, manage projects and meet deadlines and grasp technical (systems) issues/concepts.

Attention to detail with impeccable follow-up skills required. Performs independently as well in team environment.
