We are currently seeking a Store Opening Specialist, Operations to join the Baskin-Robbins Operations team for Dallas, TX and other growth markets such as Las Vegas, Arizona, and Colorado! The Store Opening Specialist manages new store opening process from the responsibility meeting through post opening. Creates growth opportunities for franchisor and franchisee through effective implementation of the franchisor/franchisee business model. Increases franchisee profitability through converting franchisor systems/standards into results at the restaurant/network level.  Uses “restaurant excellence” business planning/review as the operating model to achieve franchise results and enhance consumer experience. Creates mutual trust and respect through exemplary demonstration of Dunkin’ Brand’s character traits and core competencies (relationship model.)

 

 

The primary accountabilities for this position include:

Contributions

 

· Franchisee profitability; AWS first/second year, EC increase in assigned portfolio,

· Frontline leadership on building, role modeling, and maintaining mutual trust and respect with franchisee portfolio.

· Advising and assisting franchisee(s) in the implementation of impact on profitability/growth by using disciplined execution of Dunkin’ Brand’s tools, platforms, and systems.

· Identifying roadblocks to franchise profitability, regardless of origin and taking appropriate action to solve for the individual and/or system.

· Contributing innovation/ best practices to the franchisor/franchisee system through identifying/communicating unique applications of tools, systems, etc.

· Maintaining alignment between Dunkin’ Brand’s business & franchise goals/profitability

· Collaboration and communication across the franchisor/franchisee system

· Drive Operational excellence at new store openings through training and follow up

 

Accountabilities:

 

· Increase franchisee profitability by: Initiating, managing, and developing mutual respect and trust with portfolio of franchisees.Influencing the franchisee(s) to effectively implement business plan/business review process which includes analyzing food costs, payroll and people development and identifying opportunities for growth.Influence franchisee(s) to proactively address barriers/roadblocks to growth and/or profitability, e.g. current execution, infrastructure, turnover, remodels, capital, available real estate, etc. Influencing the franchisee(s) on the need for effective marketing Working with the franchisee to enable successful and thorough new store openings through effective training and education.

 

· Increase franchisee capability by:Identifying gaps between desired levels of franchisee performanceand current sales levels; action plans and/or business review.Identifying gaps between desired customer experience and guest satisfaction results; action plans and/or business review follow up.Determining NTC and follow up actions.Ensuring operating systems are in place to manage and control The system.Identify the potential of marketing/sales campaigns for franchise Portfolio; identify gaps/best practices.Ensure delivery of brand promise to the consumer at the restaurant level, create action plans, include action plans in the business review process.Leads/trains on product introductions, equipment upgrades, operating system changes, new restaurant openings, new concept/brand introduction and changes overs.Ensures franchisee’s performance against franchisors responsibilities, restaurant excellence standards.

 

· Increase franchise accountability for delivering annual business plan by:Collaborating with Restaurant Excellence to learn, engage in and implement the business review process with franchisee.Ensuring franchise network is current with all brand/concept standards.Collaborating with ROS/PD ensuring feedback loop is in place Collaborate with FTC on execution against learning/training requirements; identify impact of performance (or lack of) on plan

 

· Increase alignment between franchisor/franchise relationship by:Managing store transfers/de-identification Day to day office administration

The qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

· Demonstration of the stated competencies in a fast paced, growing organization.

· Bachelor’s Degree and/or applied experience in small business and/or multi-unit management, including planning, marketing, finance, payroll, capital requirements.

· Minimum of 3 years direct QSR experience as key relationship manager requiring standards compliance without direct authority.

· Direct experience in a customer service environment whereby there was either direct influence over the outcomes, e.g. manager, or indirect experience over the outcomes (e.g. franchisor, distributor, wholesaler, etc.)

· Direct experience in collaborating with a broad range of professionals, from front line service people to business owners, general managers, colleagues, community influences to resolve day to day business challenges resulting in an agreed upon solution in line with contractual requirements and profitable outcomes.

· Direct experience in working with a variety of races, ethnic groups and naturalized citizens where often English is a second language

· Demonstrated personal professional discipline to produce results in a “virtual” environment

 

 



· This position requires greater than 50% travel via car and air, with trips of 4-6 hours in length one way depending on assigned territory, team meetings, product demonstrations, etc.; may or may not require overnight stays
