We are currently seeking a Sr. Business Analyst to join the Dunkin' Brands Information Technology team! The Senior Business Analyst partners with business sponsors to identify, design, and implement functionality to help the business achieve its strategic revenue drivers. The Senior Business Analyst acts as a liaison between the business and IT translating IT functionality into business language and business processes into technical requirements.
The Senior Business Analyst is an ambassador for IT and educates the business community about technical concepts and ensures good relationships between IT and the rest of the enterprise. The Senior Business Analyst provides leadership and mentoring to Business Analysts and Associate Business Analysts.
The primary accountabilities for this position include:
Contributions
· Works with the business to understand business needs, collects business requirements, and presents to technical team for implementation.
· Acts as a liaison between the business and IT.
· Provides systems leadership, business process innovation, and overall systems guidance to assigned projects.
· Creates and maintains budgets, provides full project management, ensures SDLC compliance, and complete application turnover procedures to the application support team.
· Evaluates project requests in support of the IT Project Request Process.
· Works with the business sponsor to create business cases including a justifiable ROI for IT projects.
· Provides assigned project resources (Business, IT and vendor) overall direction and leadership during the project lifecycle
· Ensures tight collaboration with the business sponsor and IT leadership including status updates, updates on potential key issues and driving required project decision
· Explains and promote IT’s contribution to supporting Dunkin’ Brands strategic initiatives and overall business goals.
Accountabilities
· Deliver multiple IT strategy projects by providing resource plans that allow the projects to be properly staffed, assigning project resources (Business, IT and vendor) overall direction and leadership during the project lifecycle, ensuring tight collaboration with the business sponsor and IT leadership, ensuring compliance to Dunkin’ Brands SDLC methodology providing high quality deliverables as required, managing risk and controlling scope.
· Select and manage multiple vendors by conducting vendor selection process per Dunkin’ Brands vendor selection policies and procedures, reviewing and validating vendor documents, managing vendor resources ensuring quality, delivery deadline commitments and adherence to Dunkin’ Brands policies and procedures and acting as a contact for vendors on all inquires to Dunkin’ Brands.
· Evaluate project requests in support of the IT Project Request Process by providing support and direction to requesting business sponsor on request process and submission procedures; when assigned, provide high level scope to determine an initial understanding of project magnitude (includes estimate, high level requirements and potential technical solutions)
· Control configuration for assigned modules of Oracle EBS application
· Provide on-going support for applications (as assigned) used by business units
· Mine data and build reports using BI tool.
The qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to the following:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with formal course work or equivalent knowledge of relevant core systems required.
· 6 years of progressive experience working within an IT department or equivalent experience in a business unit including significant experience working on core systems and related technologies.
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to meet common objectives through relationship management.
· Strong vendor management skills.
· Excellent communications skills with an emphasis on being able to present matters of technology in an easy to understand way for business customers.
· Strong working knowledge of business processes and execution with an emphasis on utilization of best practices methodologies.
· Excellent leadership skills to help facilitate proper execution in accordance with quality assurance measurements and defined timelines
· Strong track record of educating business executives on IT concepts and systems.
· Previous experience working with ERP systems, particularly Oracle, is a plus.
