SUPPLIER SPECIALIST

POSITION SUMMARY:Position is responsible to maintain supplier data, review statements and invoices, and follow-up as necessary. Also responsible to process business tax, licenses, and permits to ensure payments of withholdings as assigned.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:*Maintain supplier master data in financial database. Conduct reviews of system to ensure accuracy of information and make adjustments as necessary. *Process business tax, licenses and permits, and ensure timely payment.*Perform scheduled reviews of restaurant level supplier statements to ensure that the company?s liabilities are accurately stated. Participate in review of supplier invoicing and statements as requested. *Research invoices sent to supplier fax line. Determine if invoice is a duplicate, code invoice, and provide to Accounts Payable Specialist in a timely manner.Ensure payment is processed for child support holdings as necessary and ensure payment of tax withholdings in arrears of suppliers.Monitor all ?holds ?placed on invoices and resolve as necessary. Review and resolve outstanding supplier hanging credits.Responsible for the optical scanning of supplier information, for record retention and retrieval.Assist and support Accounting Management with preparation of analyses and reporting as required. Utilize existing databases to obtain data necessary for analysis and notify management of any ongoing conditions or situations requiring further investigations or action. Make recommendations for resolutions of identified issues. Ensure that accounting procedures are in compliance with company policies, acceptable accounting practices, and any applicable regulations.*Review, sort, and distribute incoming departmental mail.Participate in other projects or company initiatives as required.POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Four-year degree in related area or three plus years of professional experience.
