GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

This is a very exiting new position for QFC.

 

QFC is seeking individuals that love to show others how wonderful cheese is.

As a QFC Cheese Steward you are responsible for the ordering, preparing, and merchandising of your Gourmet Cheese Kiosk and the Gourmet Olive bar in a manner that meets or exceeds QFC's Standards. Knowledge of chesse and wine is preferred to best serve our customers tastes and preferences. This position requires someone who is outgoing, friendly and enthusiastic about cheese and providing a delicious and exciting learning experience for his or her customer.

 

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

·  Minimum 18 years of age.

·  Must comply with U.S. legal work status

·  Ability to pass drug test

·  Must comply with all QFC security and company policies

·  Must be a current member or join Local Union

·  Experience and knowledge of cheese and wine.

·   

·  SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Available to work a flexible schedule from 8:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. Related experienceConsistently provide G.R.E.A.T. customer service.Ability and willingness to move with purpose and a strong sense of urgencyAbility to preserve confidentiality of informationAccuracy and attention to detailAbility to work within strict time frames and resolute deadlinesAbility to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks

·  Ability to work weekends on a regular basis

· Ability to work overtime on an occasional basis

 

HELPFUL:

 Familiarity with industry terms and processes

·  Ability to operate deli equipment

·  Ten-Key by sight

 

 

DUTIES AND TASKS:

 

·  Order product

·  Manage inventory

·  Document and manage shrink

·  Organize the department and/or workstation

·  Maintain quality of the products, cleanliness of the workstations, stock levels relative to business needs, signage visible and clean

·  Demonstrate GREAT customer service throughout shift

·  Introduce new products through sampling, demos, training and merchandising techniques.

·  Responsible for communicating with department head: suggestions or concerns regarding the sales, quality, shrink and service of products.

·  Accountable for resolving complaints
