To deliver high quality food and beverage service and provide a positive, memorable experience to guests of the Bistro.Responsibilities:' Reports to Kitchen Manager and Kitchen Lead.' Assists in providing food of the highest quality with whimsical and creative touches. Delivering a great guest experience to the Bistro guest. ' Must be friendly, self-motivated, possess an outgoing personality and a passion for working in a child-friendly environment.' Maintaining kitchen and prep areas to health code standards for cleanliness and sanitation.Preparing food items for cooking and ensuring work area is properly set up: ' Working with speed and efficiency.' Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of all areas including the removal of garbage, sweeping and wet mopping, washing counter tops and equipment on a daily basis.' Performs opening, closing, and side duties established by the Kitchen Supervisors. ' Washing, rinsing, and sanitizing all equipment and utensils.' Assist team when there are no orders being sent to the kitchen.' Ensure proper food safety and workplace safety procedures are followed.' Knowledge and understanding of local and state health and sanitation laws.Service' Follows recipe guidelines' Knows menu items specific to position' Displays a positive guest attitude' Adheres to restaurant and store appearance guidelines' Acts with a sense of urgencyControls' Maintains work station' Adheres to company guidelines and house rules' Employs good safety and sanitation practices ' Practices proper product control and handling' Thoroughly completes all station set-up and breakdown responsibilitiesTeam' Displays a positive attitude toward teammates.' Helps fellow employees whenever necessary without hesitation. ' Reports to the department at scheduled time and prepared to start duties and responsibilities right away. Must have excellent hospitality customer service skills and the ability to deal with internal and external customers.Must demonstrate ability to multi-task: while maintaining interactions between the kitchen and dining room.High School degree, as well as an accredited or recognized culinary school, college, or institution preferred.Culinary or related field experience preferred.Local safety and sanitation certification preferred.1-2 years of high volume experience as a cook preferred.' Must have good knife skills and knows how to grill, broil and roast meats, fish and poultry to order.' Ability to attractively arrange and garnish dishes as per the standards.' Must demonstrate ability to multi-task and be highly organized.' Requires problem solving skills and be capable of working under pressure in areas of high temperate and able to stand for several hours.' Possess a strong work ethic.' Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) preferred. Clear and concise written and verbal skills of the English language.
