Position Description: The Host/Hostess is responsible for answering phone lines, assisting guests with reservations, seating guests, helping managers with table management to maximize seating, and assisting guests with special requests, all while maintaining The Resort at Pelican Hill Service Standards.Qualifications: Candidates must have strong organizational skills and the ability to remember details and do simple arithmetic. A minimum of 1 -3 years experience in food and beverage. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required. Benefits The Resort at Pelican Hill™ offers a generous benefits package for all qualifying employees who work a minimum of 30 hours per week to include: Paid vacation of two weeks per year. Eight paid holidays per year, including two "personal holidays". Paid sick leave of six days per year. Comprehensive medical, dental and vision benefits programs (with an option of PPO or HMO medical plans and dental plans for employee and dependents) are available. You are immediately eligible to participate in the company's 401(k) savings plan that provides a dollar-for-dollar company match, up to 4% of your eligible base salary, after one year of employment and 1,000 hours worked. After one year of employment and 1,000 hours worked, the company will also make an automatic retirement contribution to your 401(k) savings plan, equal to 1.5% of your eligible base salary. Life insurance, short-term disability and long-term disability are provided by the company. A generous tuition reimbursement program for degreed programs or work-related classes.
