We are looking for friendly, guest-oriented individuals with a dedication to excellent customer service to fill the position of:Restaurant First Assistant ManagerThe Restaurant Management team is responsible for leading the restaurant activities of the Travel Plaza. The General Manager will report directly to the District Manager and will lead a management team consisting of 1 Kitchen Manager and 2 Assistant Managers and their teams. The Management Team will work closely with applicable support functions as required by the DM. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Primary responsibility is service to the Front of the House Monitors and exemplifies enlightened hospitality to ensure Flying J excellence in service is met, as guest service is our number-one priority. Recruit, hire, and train restaurant employees. Prepare employee work schedules. Prepare an operating budget and control expenses in order to stay within that budget. Maintain a positive relationship with other members of the Flying J Travel Plaza management team, corporate headquarters, and the community. REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE: Experience in Family, Casual or Buffet Dining segment. Proven ability to build & lead successful teams. Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and with employees. Ability to be a role model in employee appearance and presentation. Minimum 3 years in supervision/management.
