We currently have an excellent opportunity available for an experienced Executive Chef to join our highly talented team at Axel’s at the Prestwick Golf Club in Woodbury, MN

The Executive Chef will be responsible for management of food and labor costs, menu development, quality control of food and service, ordering and inventory management, sanitation, and above all participating in the training of all culinary staff members. The person in this role will be expected to provide direction, leadership and mentoring to all of the restaurant staff. Qualified candidates will possess at least 5+ years of culinary management/ executive chef experience with expert knowledge of food specifications, including but not limited to preparation, presentation and cooking methods. In addition, the successful candidate must be professional, innovative, and possess well-rounded culinary skills with creativity and a passion for culinary arts. In this role, you will be constantly challenged with creating seasonal menus and specialized menus for private dining events.  A strong knowledge of banquet services, including preparation, presentation, and execution of high volume banquet food as well as financial objectives by analyzing food, labor and overhead costs.  The qualified candidate will be working with the Event Manager in creating and updating current banquet and event menus.  A successful chef will also have the ability to embrace the front of house operations and be able to regularly communicate to our guests and any press inquiries. Axel’s at Prestwick is a distinctive part of the Prestwick Golf Club, the restaurant and patio overlooks the 18th fairway of the 72 par Championship golf  course, in addition to the restaurant, we have banquet facilities, our grand ballroom holds up to 300 people, with additional banquet rooms located downstairs, with seating capacity up to 100 people.
