DISTRICT MANAGER

Job Summary:Overall responsibility for the people, processes and operations of 10-12 Red Mango storesDrives excellence in day to day operations through training, coaching, supporting and recognizing store level managersEnsures development of all levels of talent within their spanPlans and sets goals to meet overall corporate objectives

 Key Performance Elements / Essential Functions: Â· Leads the way by working with each GM in the district to deliver profit goals and meet targeted flow-thru in each store in district; utilizes available reports and in-store observations to identify opportunities; encourages a top-line orientation through operational focus; ensures that correct operational procedures are followed at all times. · Creates district implementation plans to support execution of company initiatives to achieve both operational excellence and business results. Follows up consistently to ensure accountability to plans. . · Solicits customer feedback to understand customer needs and the needs of the local community.· Develops the store management team within the district to deliver high levels of customer experiences in all stores. · Reviews store environments and key performance indicators within the district to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement· Prioritize communications to the store management team within the district. Communicates clearly, concisely and accurately in order to ensure effective operations at the store and district level.· Manages through unusual events to keep district operating to standard. · Manages with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Red Mango. · Ensures adherence to applicable wage and hour laws, health department requirements as well as other local, state or federal requirements · Partners with each GM in the market to build sales over last year’s sales achievement. · Accountable for coaching and training GMs, AMs and Shift supervisors for operational excellence, supports national training initiatives, involved in process for new employee orientation, monitors training processes to ensure quality training of team members and managers. · Aggressively develops and maintains GM and AM staffing levels; drives to full management staffing for each store in district; commits to selection process; monitors store-level staffing. · Champions recognition and motivation efforts throughout the district· Does not compromise in creating and maintaining a safe environment for team members and customers. · Resolution oriented in all restaurant-level employee relations activities and provides needed employee relations assistance to GMs

 

Qualifications:

 

General Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

 

· Good communication skills, and strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.

· Exceptional team building capability.

· Basic business math and accounting skills, and strong analytical/decision-making skills.

· Basic personal computer literacy.

· Demonstrated track record of workplace achievement in the selection, coaching and development of managerial employees.

· Proven ability to drive customer satisfaction, financial performance and employee satisfaction

 

Work Experience/ Education / Training:

 

· High School Diploma or GED preferred, College or university Degree Preferred

· Three to five years of successful operational management experience in the Quick Service Restaurant (or similar) industry.
