District Driver Supervisor

DEPARTMENT Transportation

REPORTS TO Director of Transportation

DESCRIPTION

Indiv. will train drivers, analyze their performance, monitor driver schedules. Ensure vehicles are maintained properly. Review routes to determine efficiency and profitability. Control losses due to damage through training in proper work methods, inclement weather driving and proper lifting techniques.

BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS

C.D.L. Class A required within 90 days; must be at least 21 years old.

Preferred: C.D.L. Class A preferred & required within 90 days; working knowledge of MS Office; managerial exp., strong knowledge of cities/locations in WA state, DOT regulations, basic knowledge of trucks & carrying weights preferred. Must have effective written/oral comm. skills, decision-making skills & strong organizational/time mgmt. skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Frequent â€“ moderate heavy lifting; pushing/pulling hand truck; raising/lowering truck ramp; ascending/descending stairs and/or ramps.
