The Chaya restaurant collection seeks an EXPERIENCED multi-unit restaurant manager to guide development and oversee opening and operations of locations in Los Angeles and beyond. Join the team who brought Euro-Japanese fusion cuisine to California with Chaya Brasserie, Chaya Venice, and Chaya Brasserie San Francisco, and be part of our growth and new vision.
We are looking for an individual with a passion for great service and innovative cuisine, a commitment to exceeding customer expectations, and first class leadership skills. The right person will have experience leading multiple restaurant or retail units through periods of growth and change, and some full-service fine dining experience.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead, identify, and develop operations team including General Mangers, Front of House Managers, and Kitchen Managers for existing and newly opening restaurants Maximize sales and profits in multiple locations Provide coaching, direction and support to restaurant personnel Function as a key member of company's leadership team, representing restaurants' needs to the home office and vice-versa
Job Requirements:
Progressive experience (5 years) in managing multiple retail, restaurant or hospitality locations Minimum 2 years' experience in a fine dining restaurant position Superlative interpersonal skills, business acumen, and operational knowledge Ability to work long hours including some nights and weekends Outstanding leadership and communication skills (written and oral) Knowledge and interest in high quality foods and cuisine. Experience in Marketing and/or market development Experience in Financial Analysis and P&L responsibility Working knowledge of CA labor laws and best practices surrounding employment Planning and organizational project management skills Comfort and aptitude with basic business software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Bilingual a plus (English-Spanish, English-Japanese)
