Director of Information Technology
POSITION TITLE: Director of Information Technology FLSA Classification: Exempt Position Description: Reporting to the CFO, the Director of Information Technology is a hands-on technical role that is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the operations of all IT infrastructures, especially the company’s mission critical restaurant and datacenter operations. This leadership role is responsible to provide the overall leadership and direction to direct reports responsible for production, maintenance and support operations. Responsibilities will include implementing strategies to increase efficiency, maintain quality, and ensure continuous improvement, managing the day-to-day operational activities and assuring that proactive measures are taken to ensure near 100% uptime of all systems. Essential Functions: Develops, enforces and oversees production change methodology. Oversee technology expense and capital budgets; evaluate needs, conduct cost and benefit analyses, determine technology priorities and return on IT investments. Lead periodic technology service portfolio analysis to generate technology service plans that ensure alignment with Kona Grill strategic plans. Foster and promote a service provider attitude in the work habits of staff, and achieve a high level of user satisfaction. Maintain quality service while seeking opportunities to improve productivity, drive down costs and improve platform scalability. Drive standardization and best practices for applications and infrastructure. Hire, evaluate, mentor, train, retain, discipline, and work to improve professional and support staff. Build the relationships of all partners, vendors and outsourced consultants. This includes their respective contracts and service agreements. Implement and monitor compliance including but not limited to SOX 404 and PCI. Must be an outstanding problem solver and be able to look at issues from multiple perspectives and able to address solutions at both conceptual and detail levels. Strong knowledge of contracting, negotiating, organization development/change management, finance, strategic planning, action planning and supervision are required for successful performance. Experience in IT infrastructure. Expertise in setting vision and leading a large professional staff Ability to influence, inform and collaborate with Executive Management.
