Franchise Development Director

Crumb Corps, LLC is searching for a Franchise Development Director to negotiate franchise license agreements with prospective owners and developers of its Cookies by Design brand.

 

The Director's primary responsibility will be to source and evaluate potential franchise and management contract opportunities. This position may also assist the Chief Operating Officer with special projects as they arise.

Essential Functions

 

Recruit, screen and evaluate qualified candidates based on their experience, financial status and their proposed business plan for their suitability as a franchisee and their ability to build the brand.

 

General prospecting of applicants via advertising, franchise shows, seminars and cold calling.

 

Comply with all franchise laws and Cookies by Design policies.

 

Educate the franchise prospects on the steps of the development process, including application criteria, forms and procedures.

 

Guide applicant through the process to their eventual signing of a Franchise and/or Development Agreement.

 

Prepare and package franchise recruitment proposal for internal review and approval.

 

Travel, with limited direct supervision, 50% of time.

 

Assist coworkers to ensure a project’s timetable is met for a successful shoppe opening.

Additional Responsibilities

 

Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

Assist site selection effort by identifying and analyzing target markets.

 

Attend franchise trade shows and promote Cookies by Design franchised concepts.

 

Attend various meetings including those held at the corporate office.

 

Regularly follow up, internally and externally, with all aspects of projects.

 

Keep apprised of franchising and restaurant industry trends and activity.

Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s Degree with major in Business Administration or Marketing preferred.

 

Minimum of 3 years of sales or related franchising experience required (including development, strategic planning and/or feasibility analysis).

Skills

 

Computer skills: Experience with Microsoft Office preferred.

 

Highly refined oral and written communication skills required.

 

Excellent sales and presentation skills.

 

Organizational skills required for tracking and guiding multiple projects.

 

Ability to manage budgets and reach sales goals.

Salary

 

$65,000 + closing bonus of 10% of franchise fee collected.
