CATERING SALES MANAGER

 

We are a leader in the fine-dining segment of the restaurant industry with an immediate and confidential opening for a Catering Sales Manager for all off-site functions.

Essential Job Functions:Creates, presents and manages the annual sales plan; continuously monitors progress to plan and takes corrective action as needed.Meets with prospective clients to provide information, learn clients’ needs and up sell as appropriate.  Negotiates prices, draws up contracts and executes changes as needed.Inspects all sites prior to event to determine layout and logistics of load-in, event and strike.  Assures all required licenses or permits are pulled.Attends networking events to create new relationships for future catering sales.Staffs each event appropriately.  Maintain a presence at events to exceed each customer’s expectations.Works closely with the Executive Chef in the development of menus and wine lists.Manages collateral material inventory.

 

Qualifications: 

The ideal candidate has a college degree and a minimum of 4 years of catering sales experience.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and above average sales skills are needed for this position.  Strong organization and administrative skills are also required, including proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.  Knowledge of accounting and budgeting principles is necessary.
