This position is accountable for the procurement and replenishment of assigned products and maintaining clearly defined inventory and customer service level. Essential duties and responsibilities are as follows:Generate and coordinate the placement of purchase orders and monitor inventory and service levels to meet company standards.Maintain vendor and product master files.Ensure product and freight cost accuracy and verify if product and freight cost change.Gather information for promotional activity to support sales.Coordinate with receiving scheduler to expedite purchase orders when needed.Process new product requests with assigned vendors.Manage market pricing and purchase order cost to meet company gross profit objectives.Utilize AS400 purchasing system for forecasting and placement of orders on regular stock items.Review Aged Inventory Report and make recommendations for slow and disposition of zero moving items.Monitor vendor late deliveries and product quality issues.Handles other duties and special projects as assigned. Maintains confidentiality with respect to purchasing programs and company financial information Manage In/Out ProcessBack up Purchasing Assistant during her absence from the office.
