Accounts Payable Specialist
Panera bread is a specialty concept with unparalleled people and quality products offering careers as diverse as our breads. As a result of continued growth, Panera Bread is actively seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist.
This role is based in St. Louis, MO at the Esquire Support Center.Accountabilities:
Audit and approve bakery-cafe invoices received through the pouch system in an accurate and timely manner. Review vendor statements on a period end basis to ensure all accounts are kept current. Assist vendors with questions involving outstanding invoices and payments. Timely follow-up internally and with vendors for missing information. Accurately and neatly file invoice batches. Assist Accounts Payable Supervisor with special requests as needed. Assist in the improvement and efficiency of invoice entry. Increase the number of invoices processed each week without the addition of staff. Reduce the number of overdue invoices and to keep accounts current.
Qualifications:
2-3 years automated Accounts Payable experience. Attention to detail is imperative, especially speed and accuracy. Experience with high volume of payables is a must. Good communication skills. Good interpersonal skills and works well in a team. Knowledge of 10-key. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Experience with Oracle preferred, but not required. Ability to work well independently with little direction. Possess problem-solving skills.
