Accounting Manager

We own and operate 30 Wingstops throughout South Texas, Phoenix, and New Mexico.  Also, we currently own 5 PIzza Patrons in San Antonio. We pride ourselves on being Wingstops largest franchisee.  This is your opportunity to get in with a fast growing franchise. We will have 7 new stores in the next 18 months.

 

We are actively recruiting for an Accounting Manager.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

§ Manages bank balances and deposit verifications

§ Manages New Hire Process, Terminations, and Employment Verifications

§ Orders Shoes for New Hires

§ Maintains employee files 

§ Responsible for Weekly Tax Deposits, Quarterly Tax Returns, and Bank Reconciliations

§ Responsible for monthly account reviews

§ Responsible for month end bonuses & commissions

§ Maintains bank transfers

§ Responsible for monthly food cost calculations and monthly payroll accruals

§ Manages employee birthday & anniversary lists

§ Maintains child support payments

§ Manages worker compensation claims

§ Manages merchant accounts and cc machines

§ Responsible for Annual Tax returns, Annual W-2s, and Poll Time clocks

§ Responsible for Daily System Backup

§ Other duties may be assigned

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Manages operations and provides work direction to administrative staff.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE  Bachelor's degree (B. A.) and 10 to 15 years of Accounting experience. Requires knowledge of computer-based concepts including various software programs dealing with data bases.  Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Peachtree.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as abstracts, assessment lists and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to employees and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

REASONING ABILITY Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
