About the Opportunity
CHICAGO SIGNATURE SERVICES is seeking an experienced

FOOD & BEVERAGE CATERING ASSISTANT EXECUTIVE STEWARD to coordinate product and equipment inventory levels throughout the venue; assure product quality and the maintenance and cleanliness of equipment, including all china, class, and silver; assist in the distribution and transportation of food to event areas; and support the overall sanitation and organization within the kitchen.


STEWARDING Responsibilities include:
-- Receiving Operations:  Product ordering, purchasing, receipt, organization, storage, security, sanitation, rotation, inventory, billing, reporting and budgeting
-- Distribution Operations:  Product and equipment coordination, usage, security, safety, distribution, and transportation. Assure product quality and santitation; and cleanliness, security, and maintenance of equipment and kitchen
-- Maintain Excellent Relationships with Vendors, Navy Pier Trades, related companies and outside services.
-- Coordinate Events and Functions by facilitating flow and services of other departments including event coordinators, catering sales, culinary department, banquets, purchasing, and accounting
-- Support Department Functions by the consistent adherence to standard operating procedures; the hiring, training, and motivation of department personnel; the completion of all administrative duties, such as financial reports, payroll, and budget


Skills and Experience Required:
-Comprehensive knowledge of sanitation and food handling practices
-Food & Beverage stewarding experience helpful
-Computer proficiency
-Flexibility and availability - early mornings, late nights, holidays, and weekends
