LOCATION Job location not provided STATUS Full Time, Employee JOB CATEGORY Business/Strategic Management RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE 2+ to 5 Years CAREER LEVEL Manager (Manager/Supervisor of Staff) EDUCATION LEVEL High School or equivalent COMPANYMars Retail Group ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER - ethel's Chocolate Lounge - Northbridge Mall ASSISTANT STORE MANAGERethel’s® Chocolate LoungeWe immediate opportunities for an Assistant Store Manager to spread the love of chocolate at the Northbridge Mall location.  Our chocolate lounge is a place you can enjoy fondue or just sample our delicious chocolate.  The Assistant Store Manager should be passionate about chocolate, have infectious energy and a true understanding of extraordinary customer service. Duties:· Ensure prompt and courteous service is given to all customers. · Direct the daily activities of store associates to ensure the store's smooth operation. · Order merchandise and ensure it is set according to merchandising plan-o-grams. · Ensure daily banking activities adhere to cash management policies. · Review profit and loss (P&L) and other financial reports with the Area Manager to identify sales and expense control opportunities. · Assist Area Manager in recruiting and training store associates in retail operation procedures. · Assist the Area Manager in recommending and/or administering discipline to associates as required. · Schedule employees to achieve optimum customer service, merchandise display, store security and expense control. · Maintain store premises and grounds in compliance with agency safety and housekeeping practices. · Other duties as assigned. · Successful completion of a drug and background screen Preferred Qualifications:· HS Diploma or GED equivalent, with some college courses · 2-3 years retail or restaurant management experience. · One year of supervisory experience in retail or restaurant management required.· Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends. Company-paid relocation is NOT available for this position.  To apply, go to www.ethelschocolate.com/careers, Chicago, for the Mars.com online application process. As a privately-held, family-owned company, Mars North America offers benefits which reflect our commitment to attracting and retaining great people.
